Rutgers' defense gives up 9.2 yards per pass attempt. They are porous and undermanned in the secondary, a unit that's given up 22 pass plays of 20 yards or more, worst in the Big Ten.

Demond Williams and Denzel Boston burned them for touchdowns of 23 and 38 yards, while Husky freshman receiver Dezmen Roebuck pulled down four passes for 109 yards, including a 59-yard strike.

The week before at Minnesota, freshman Jalen Smith took a simple tunnel screen for 79 yards, on his way to four catches for 109 yards and a touchdown. Back in September Iowa, not exactly an offensive juggernaut, struck for completions of 42, 24, 25, and 21 yards.

None of those offenses have the firepower and speed of the Oregon offense. Besides that, the Scarlet Knights give up 4.87 yards a carry on the ground. 17th in the Big Ten, in addition to an opponent passer rating of 157, dead last in the conference.

Oregon's offensive plan at SHI Stadium shouldn't be subtle. The Ducks have matchup advantages all over the field. Dante Moore should hand off to his 6-0, 235 bruising running back Jordon Davison and get his team into favorable down and distances. Wear them down. Impose your will.

Then he should throw it down the seams and up the rails to Dakorien Moore, Malik Benson and Kenyon Sadiq. Test this soft, squishy pass defense. Let his superior athletes cook.

The Ducks have NFL talent all over their offensive group. It's time to make the game fun again, and strike in the intermediate and deep passing game. The Scarlet Knights also rank next-to-last in sacks.

Throw it down, big man. Don't be subtle or cute. Play some matchup football and take advantage.
