Dan Lanning signed three five-star prospects in his class of 2025 recruits: wide receiver Dakorien Moore, cornerback Na'eem Offord, and safety Trey McNutt. As the final industry rankings of the prospects are released, the Ducks have grown more and more excited about their incoming talent.

Most recently, On3 released its final On300 rankings for the blue-chip prospects and McNutt received a bump in his national standings.

Previously, the five-star safety had been ranked as the No. 33 overall athlete in the recruiting class. However, after an impressive senior season and an elite performance in the Navy All-American Bowl, McNutt moved up to the No. 31 prospect.

In the Navy All-American Bowl, McNutt stood out for his ball-hawk tendencies as he contributed multiple pass breakups and had some powerful tackles throughout his final high-school-level game. Overall, McNutt is the No. 2 safety in the incoming class.

Alongside McNutt in the top 100 group of prospects are three more defensive backs who are also Oregon signees: Offord, four-star cornerback Dorian Brew, and three-star cornerback Brandon Finney. McNutt is one of 11 future Ducks within the On300 list of prospects.

Undeniably, Oregon's incoming class is one of the best in the country, ranked No. 4 in the nation. However, the Ducks may just have the best group of incoming defensive backs ever. McNutt has praised the Oregon program and sees a bright future ahead of him and the Ducks.

“They want to be great in that program,” McNutt said to On3. “And the people around the program they’re all great people and they all have the same goals and they’re all fighting to get to their goals."

McNutt has talked about his connection with Lanning and the rest of the Oregon staff as he has gone through his recruitment process. He even went as far to say that Lanning will undeniably be a "big-time coach" in the future.
