According to a report by Eric Bailey of the Tulsa World, freshman linebacker Wendell Gregory was arrested and booked into the Payne County Jail Saturday night on three counts of misdemeanor larceny stemming from an incident that occurred at a Walmart in Stillwater, Oklahoma on May 3, 5, 8 and 9.
The arrest came two nights after Gregory got loose for three sacks in the Cowboys' 27-7 win over UT Martin Thursday night, tying a Big 12 record for sacks in a game. The restitution report stated Gregory had stolen $211.88 worth of property from the store.
Under new coordinator Todd Grantham the OSU defense turned in a dominating performance in the win over the Skyhawks, allowing just 225 yards with four total sacks and nine tackles for loss.

While the OSU athletic department hasn't made a decision on Gregory's status for Saturday's game at Oregon, starting quarterback Hauss Hejny broke his foot in the opener and had to have surgery, out for several weeks.
The twin blasts of bad news change nothing for the Ducks. OSU suffered through a 3-9 season in 2024, winless in the Big 12. The emphasis for Dan Lanning and the Oregon remains on execution and improvement. A team can't allow an opponent's distractions and problems to become their own.
A 12:30 p.m. PT game on CBS/Paramount, the Ducks are a 27.5-point favorite for Saturday.
