The Oregon Ducks are in recruiting mode as Dan Lanning and the coaching staff continue to host official visits every weekend. While the staff continues to look at adding commitments, it's also the time of year where it's important to hold onto commits. While the Ducks look to rise the recruiting rankings by adding commitments, the class could also rise as players continue to gain updated rankings.
On Wednesday, 24/7 Sports unveiled their latest updated recruiting rankings following some of the biggest recruiting showcases. While revealing the new rankings, 24/7 Sports updated their 5-star recruits with a welcomed surprise for the Oregon Ducks.
Oregon edge rusher commit Rashad Streets gains 5-star status
The 24/7 Sports updated recruiting rankings now account for 32 5-star recruits resembling the 32 1st round picks in the NFL. Rashad Streets is now a 5-star recruit as the 29th ranked player in the country.

Prior to the updated recruiting rankings, Rashad Streets ranked as the 84th ranked player in the country, the 11th ranked edge rusher in the country, and the 4th ranked player out of North Carolina. Streets is now the 29th ranked player, the 7th ranked edge rusher in the class, and the 2nd ranked player in the state marking a significant leap.
The jump in 24/7 Sports' rankings also launches Streets up the industry recruiting rankings from the 65th best player in the class to 39th. Moving into the top 40 is notable for Streets as he's on the verge of being an industry 5-star if ESPN or Rivals moves him up their rankings.
The bump in the rankings is well deserved for Rashad Streets as he's dominated at the High School level, and continues to impress at the camps against the elite talents.
After racking up an absurd 41.5 sacks over the past two seasons, Streets has a chance to earn the coveted 5th star across every set of rankings. Another dominant season at the High School level along with dominating events like he did at SC Next this Summer or the upcoming All American game, and it’ll be tough to deny him being a 5-star recruit as the traits and talent are clearly there
