Oregon entered the Transfer Portal cycle this winter, looking to add the pieces needed to ensure that the Ducks could make a run to the National Championship. Dan Lanning and the staff once again brought in a loaded group of players with safety Koi Perich, quarterback Dylan Raiola, and a few other pieces grabbing most of the attention.

Among the biggest additions to Oregon's class was defensive lineman D'Antre Robinson, who made the move to Eugene after spending the season in Chapel Hill. When the Ducks first added Robinson, he wasn't graded to the level the staff certainly saw in him. Now as the recruiting services re-evaluate all their rankings, Robinson is getting the respect he should've gotten from the start.

D'Antre Robinson makes major leap in final 24/7 Sports Rankings

On Wednesday, 24/7 Sports released their final Transfer Portal rankings, and among the players taking the biggest leaps was Oregon's newest defensive tackle D'Antre Robinson.

When 24/7 Sports released their initial rankings, D'Antre Robinson had a 3-star ranking as the 175th best player in the portal, and the 18th ranked defensive tackle in the class. After the re-release on Wednesday, D'Antre Robinson is now a 4-star transfer ranked as the 62nd best player to transfer and the 10th ranked defensive lineman in the class.

The ranking for D'Antre Robinson is far more fitting, and jumping over 110 places in the rankings shows that the Ducks staff clearly had a better evaluation on him. Coming out of High School, Robinson was highly sought after, and while the stats haven't been eye popping, the potential is clearly there.

This past season at North Carolina, Robinson racked up 39 tackles with a forced fumble and half of a sack. The numbers were an improvement over the marks Robinson posted during his first season with the Florida Gators.

The biggest key for D'Antre Robinson this season is the role he'll be asked to serve on Oregon's defensive line. Robinson will be at best the 3rd defensive tackle behind A'Mauri Washington and Bear Alexander, allowing him to stay fresh while playing with a group of players who will draw far more attention from opposing offenses.

If Robinson can be an impactful piece in the Ducks' rotation, this defense becomes even scarier, especially up the middle. The biggest impact Robinson could make is by making a difference as a pass rusher with how dominant Alexander and Washington are in the run game. This season, the offense will draw all the attention with Dante Moore, but if Oregon is going to win it all, it'll really be the defense that secures a championship.
