A dozen Oregon stars have stormed to Indianapolis to take over the 2025 NFL Combine, and the first Ducks to show off their talents will be the defensive linemen and linebackers who led the defense to dominant performances over the last few years.
From linebacker Jeffrey Bassa to lineman Jordan Burch, talented Ducks are about to dominate on the field once again. First, they took to the podium in order to field questions from members of the media.
Jeffrey Bassa (LB) college career stats
- 226 total tackles (120 solo, 106 assisted)
- 4.5 sacks

Bassa played four seasons for the Ducks and became a leader on and off the field for Oregon. While speaking to the media, he talked about how he was "asked to do it all" while playing in college. Bassa also said that he believes his collegiate experience will "translate well to the NFL."
The Oregon linebacker talked about how wild it was to go through the formal meetings with teams for the first time and said he was just "so blessed" to experience the "full-circle moment."
Bassa began his football career as a safety and moved into the linebacker role while playing with the Ducks and believes that the diversification of experience will benefit him well in the league.
Jamaree Caldwell (DL) college career stats

Caldwell played just one season for the Oregon Ducks after transferring to the program from the Houston Cougars. However, his pass-rushing ability excelled under head coach Dan Lanning and defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi, as he had all three of his career PDs while in Eugene.
The defensive lineman, who played nose tackle a majority of his collegiate career, shared that he had been working on slimming down throughout the offseason as he prepared for the NFL Combine, Oregon's Pro Day, and the upcoming Draft.
Caldwell also shared that he had formal meetings with the Chicago Bears and the Buffalo Bills, both of which desperately need to add a powerful D-Lineman to their rosters.
Derrick Harmon (DT) college career stats
- 114 total tackles (51 solo, 61 assisted)
- 8.5 sacks
- 4 pass deflections
- 3 forced fumbles
Harmon transferred to Oregon after playing three seasons for the Michigan State Spartans and truly found his footing within Lupoi's defensive system. While talking to the NFL on NBC, Harmon shared that the guy he wants to take down the most when he enters the league is none other than running back Saquon Barkley.
"A dream come true, it's definitely a blessing to be here," Harmon said about attending the Combine. "I'm enjoying every moment and staying where my feet are."
The defensive tackle shared that he modeled his style of play after NFL greats Chris Jones and Cam Heyward while giving nods to some of his teammates, such as Oregon's Josh Conerly Jr. Harmon shared his love for going after bigger guys and shifty guys; he wants "everybody, anybody."
Jordan Burch (DE) college career stats
- 170 total tackles (81 solo, 89 assisted)
- 16 sacks
- 10 pass deflections
- 1 interception (61 yards, 1 touchdown)

Burch was a defensive menace for the Oregon Ducks during the 2024-25 season. He had a resounding 8.5 sacks and five pass deflections as he swarmed every single quarterback he stood across the line of scrimmage from.
"I did it at Oregon, so I can do it in the league too," Burch said while talking to the media, and he broke down how he is ready to take on whatever challenge is ahead of him.
When asked which quarterback he wants to sack the most, he said none other than two of the greatest in the NFL: "Lamar Jackson or Patrick Mahomes."
The defensive linemen and linebackers are scheduled to take the field at the NFL Combine at noon PT. The skills challenges and drills will be broadcast on the NFL Network.
