Week 10 of the college football season is loaded with high stakes matchups and showdowns between Top 25 opponents. With the first set of College Football Playoff rankings released, the stakes have officially been set for every matchup, including the Saturday showdown between No. 23 Oregon and No. 12 Ohio State.

Both teams entered the season as projected favorites to win the National Championship, and Saturday's matchup could end that dream for whoever loses. Ohio State enters Saturday with a 6-2 record, while the Ducks are 5-3, and both teams are playing without their projected 1st round picks at quarterback.

Dan Lanning and Ryan Day are being asked to pull off incredible coaching jobs with the injuries they're dealing with on both sides of the football. The winner will have a statement win and a clear example of how they elevate their roster, while the loser will likely start looking toward the offseason as the Playoff would likely be out of reach.

The Buckeyes hold a 10-2 record over the Ducks, but Oregon has had some success against Ryan Day, who is 1-2 in this matchup. Dan Lanning will be looking to surpass the .500 mark against Ohio State with a 1-1 record against the Buckeyes.
