A thrilling weekend of College Baseball is in the books with Monday's "Game 7's", and the matchups for Super Regionals are now set. The Oregon Baseball team got to spend Monday watching from home after sweeping the Eugene Regional with wins over Yale, Washington State, and Oregon State. The opening weekend for the Ducks was easy, but moving forward every game will only be more difficult.

While upsets took down some of the perceived top teams in the country, the field is still loaded with teams capable of lifting the trophy in Omaha. The Super Regional will prove just that for the Oregon Ducks as the last hurdle before Omaha.

The task for the Oregon Ducks is clearly tough as surviving Super Regional weekend is a major test. Texas looked dominant in their run in the Austin Regional, sweeping the field just like the Ducks did in Eugene. Both teams are incredibly talented, and the Super Regional round should be a war as both rosters are capable of winning the World Series.

The difficult part after the first weekend is the side of the bracket Oregon landed on as upsets took out elite teams across the bracket. The winner in Austin will be tasked with facing the winner of Mississippi State Vs Georgia which would be another major clash. Add in Oklahoma, Kentucky, St. John's and Alabama rounding out the 8 teams and the draw is incredibly tough.

Across the bracket, Cal Poly, Little Rock, and Troy all pulled off major upsets thus opening the field up for teams like North Carolina and Auburn if they can handle business.

If Oregon is going to win the College World Series, the Ducks are going to need to send a statement to the rest of the field this weekend down in Austin. The same oddsmakers doubted the Ducks against Oregon State, and the Ducks ended up sweeping the Eugene Regional. Facing the front runner to win it all is a difficult task, but a win on the road would only make the journey sweeter.
