Wednesday Night has become a unique tradition for the Oregon Ducks as the football team announces which uniform combination they will wear each week. Last week brought a new look for the Ducks with the newly designed "Origin of Speed" combination. Based on how the team played in those uniforms in the loss to UCLA, most fans are likely hoping to never see them again.

This week, Oregon was going to return to the basics and give the fans a uniform combination that they're familiar with.

Oregon announces Game 6 uniform combination for Nebraska game

On Wednesday Night, Oregon unveiled the uniform combination for Saturday Night's game as the Ducks will wear green helmets with black jerseys and green pants that match the helmets.

The green helmets feature the black wings on each side of the helmet along with a matching green facemask, which creates a clean look, tying everything together. The black jerseys have the patterned shoulders and grey patterned numbers which are outlined in green to go with green names on the back of the jerseys.

Oregon wore this combination on October 11th last season for the regular season matchup with Indiana, which the Ducks lost. The biggest difference in the combination is that the Ducks will have black wings on the sides of the helmets rather than the grey ones the team had last season.

Given the way that the season has started for the Ducks, the uniform combination may not be important to anyone, but at the end of the day, Oregon still had to release it. The combination isn't going to matter to anyone if the Ducks drop another game, and with the season trending toward being a failure, all anyone is asking for is the team to rise to the occasion, and get back on track.

The flash of the uniforms is fun, but at this point all that Oregon fans are hoping to see a more fun product on the field. The Ducks need to win this game badly and continue to tread water on offense until Dante Moore comes back, and the team is going to need to rise to the occasion.

The Ducks will put the uniforms on display on Saturday Night against Nebraska in Autzen Stadium. The game will be broadcast on Fox with the kickoff time set for 8:00 PM PT or 11:00 PM ET for the fans watching on the East Coast.
