Head coach Dan Lanning and offensive coordinator Will Stein have become a dynamic duo in college football – not to mention defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi rounding out the three musketeers. Recently, Stein sat down with CBS Sports to break down exactly why his team finds success so consistently.

Stein put it simply, the Ducks' have an incredibly high football IQ. From veteran players to knowledgeable coaches and staff, Oregon has some of the best people at every single position.

"Attention to detail here is unlike any place I've been," Stein said. "Not just from Dan [Lanning] but from the top down."

Stein gave his appreciation for Oregon's Athletic Director Rob Mullens to the very people who clean up Autzen Stadium, both before and after football games.

"There's no stone unturned here," Stein continued.

Stein joined Lanning's staff in 2023 after previous OC Kenny Dillingham was named as the Arizona State Sun Devils' newest head coach. Since then, the Ducks' offense has dominated in almost every single matchup.

It doesn't hurt that Stein has had access to some of the most experienced quarterbacks in the league over the last two seasons with Bo Nix and Dillon Gabriel being his go-to guys. However, Stein's offensive prowess shines amongst a staff that is defensive-minded; beyond just Lanning and Lupoi.

Through Oregon's first 11 games of the 2024 season, all of which they have won, the Ducks' offense ranks 15th nationally for passing yards and 22nd nationally for points scored. Oregon has outscored its opponents by an average of 18 points per game, including a 35-point shutout over the Purdue Boilermakers and a 35-point victory over in-state rival Oregon State.

The Ducks defense shines brightly every week, there's no denying it's a highlight of the No. 1 team in the nation. However, Stein's offense gets the job done every single game.

Oregon's final game of the regular season is against Washington. The No. 1 Ducks and the unranked Huskies are scheduled to kick off at 4:30 p.m. PT on NBC.
