Just a couple of weeks ago draft analyst Todd McShay blasted Kenyon Sadiq for low production and substandard effort.
It wasn't fair then and isn't fair now (Sadiq was battling injuries) but McShay said, “They’re disappointed in Sadiq. His route running has not evolved. He’s not separating and getting open. And when I say they, I’m saying NFL scouts."
Sadiq wisely ignored the outside noise, but healthy again and returning to the lineup he's turned in his two best receiving games of his career in the last two weeks. Last Friday he burned Minnesota for 8 catches and 96 yards and a touchdown.
He followed that up with a star turn against a banged-up USC secondary, which came into the game down two starting safeties. The 6-3, 245 athletic freak from Idaho Falls, Idaho, grabbed six passes for 72 yards and two touchdowns, on an afternoon when the Ducks were missing four offensive weapons in Jayden Limar, Gary Bryant Jr., Dakorien Moore and Evan Stewart, in addition to losing three starters on the offensive line.

Sadiq was clutch for the Ducks, just like he was against Rutgers in October, four catches for 80 yards and two scores. He's a potent weapon as a blocker too.
The big games have established him as Oregon's leading receiver this season, racking up 36 catches for 479 yards and eight touchdowns. He paces the team in all three categories, in what's become a beautifully balanced attack between Noah Whittington and Jordan Davison's tough running, Jeremiah McClellan and Malik Benson as the deep threats.
Sadiq closing in on Oregon milestones
Nationally, Sadiq's eight touchdowns lead the nation among tight ends.
He's closing in on All-America honors and the John Mackey Award. In reach also are Oregon single-season marks for catches, yards and touchdowns at the position.
Oregon single-season leaders, tight ends
Catches: 43 Ed Dickson 2007
Yards: 631 Blake Spence 1997
Touchdowns 9 Justin Peele 2001
With the rivalry game in Seattle against Washington and the postseason remaining, Sadiq needs 7 catches, 152 yards and one touchdown to tie all three marks.
His freakish ability also has the junior on track to becoming a first-round draft pick next April. The scouts McShay is talking to are going to miss out.

If you wanted Warren, Loveland or Bowers in either of the last two drafts, you’re going to want Sadiq come draft time.
Kid does it all - mean streak, willing and capable blocker, really good athlete who is a dynamic playmaker as a catcher.
