The betting line between USC at Oregon notched down a point in the last 24 hours, from Oregon -10.5 to Oregon -9.5 as money comes in on the Trojans.

With mild weather forecast the over/under is still 59.5 and the Moneyline is Oregon -380, USC +290, another slight move toward the Trojans.

There are all kinds of distractions this week around college football playoff talk, criticisms about Oregon's strength of schedule and USC's status as a college football blueblood, but Dan Lanning cut through it.

Ahead of a big game, Dan Lanning refocuses the Ducks

"The only thing that matters for us this week is USC," Lanning said. "If we continue to do our job, the rest of it takes care of itself."

The Trojans are a tough opponent because of their versatility. They pass for a Big Ten-best 298 yards a game and run for 191 yards a game, fourth in the league behind No. 1 Oregon. They are a vulnerable opponent because of their defense, 12th in the conference at 5.59 yards per play, 10th in scoring defense at 21.7 points a game.

The Trojans give up 4.42 yards a carry on the ground, 13th in the league.

It's a game for a College Football Playoff spot, Lincoln Riley's No. 15 squad (8-2) vs. the No. 7 Ducks (9-1). There's a strong possibility the loser is eliminated from playoff contention.

The visitors haven't been strong on the road.
