Facebook: Oregon Ducks #1 For Northwest Fans

In a recent poll from Facebook, Duck Fans Take the Northwest

Here’s a fun look at Facebook Data. According to a recent survey of Sports fans throughout the country the Northwest was dominated by one team – Oregon. The Ducks not only took their own state, but also all of Alaska, Hawaii, Washington and half of Nevada and California. The next closest Pac 12 team was Stanford, which came in fourth.

KVAL.com in Eugene said that the folks at Facebook broke down the Top 25 teams by popularity and area – several teams not in the Top 25 (Washington and Washington State) ended up going to the Ducks.

There were some fascinating findings on the list including Pac 12 team USC overtook UCLA in every eligible county. Oregon was among ten states where every county favored the same team.(this also happened  in Washington for the Ducks.) Clearly in the in-state battle Oregon reigns over Oregon State. I’m not sure how happy Washington fans are about this poll, but Oregon will be more than happy to take the numbers.
