This Week’s Polls:

Associated Press: Oregon #2

USA Today Coaches Poll: Oregon #2

Week Three in the Pac-12 is now in the books and the heavy hitters of the Conference (Oregon and Stanford) won their games handily and should stand their ground when this week’s Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Poll are released in just a few hours. With the Ducks 59-14 win over Tennessee Mark Helfrich and Company will likely garner some  first place votes away from #1 Alabama who topped Texas A&M and Johnny Manziel 49-42. That loss will certainly drop the Aggies from the Top 10 this week leaving an open spot.

Nebraska manhandled UCLA in the first half on Saturday, but the Bruins came storming back in the second half and won 41-21. In the voters eyes that may be enough to vault them into the Top 10 this week. There is one Pac 12 team that has put itself on the radar, and likely into the Top 25 this week in Arizona State.

It was probably one of the better Big 1o/Pac-12 Matchups of the day and unfortunately many of the East Coast voters did not see the end, or the way it ended to secure the SunDevils Victory over the Wisconsin Badgers 32-30.

One team that surprised me was Michigan, ALMOST losing to Akron in the final minutes. This was a team that was, and still could win the Big 10 this year but the voters may not see it that way and the Wolverines could fall a spot or two in the polls this week.

Oregon has this week off to rest up and prepare for Cal who comes to Eugene on Saturday September 28th. Gametime has not yet been announced. It will likely be a late afternoon start either 3:30 or 5:00. The Bears lost to Ohio State on Saturday 52-34.
