The folks over at Eleven Warriors, an Ohio State site, has done a very solid job in breaking down the upcoming first year of the College Football Playoff. Among the teams discussed are, of course, Ohio State, Florida State, Baylor and Oregon. Vico, from the Eleven Warriors Staff also sees a Baylor Team that is solid and road tested likely also making the Top four, along with of course Florida State.

When it comes to the Oregon Ducks, Eleven Warriors sees them as a Contender and likes their schedule and focuses on the return of Starters Marcus Mariota and Byron Marshall as strengths that could take them all the way. He points out that scheduling wise the Oregon Ducks miss USC and Arizona State in the Regular season and host both Stanford and Arizona in ‘revenge’ games. Eleven Warriors says the ‘concern’ game is at UCLA for Oregon in 2014 and I agree. With a healthy Marcus Mariota facing a healthy Brett Hundley it is a game that could come down to field goals.

The 2014 season for the Oregon Ducks start the 2014 campaign on Saturday, August 30th against South Dakota.(7:30pm PT, Pac-12 Networks)
