Bowl Projections: @JPPalmCBS Sees Oregon and Wisconsin in #FiestaBowl

In the first year of the College Football Playoff the bowl picture will drastically shift from games that are important to now, four games that will become the most important with other games likely falling by the wayside. Two Bowl Games will feature teams looking for a National Title in the first year of the College Football Playoff. In the inaugural season the Sugar Bowl and Rose Bowl will hold the honor of finding the two best teams to face off in the first ever ‘true’ National Championship. The Oregon Ducks appear to be on the outside looking in.

In 2014 the preseason predictions for the year are starting to emerge and one, Jerry Palm from CBS sees four teams not including the Oregon Ducks vowing for a National Title. Ohio State will face Florida State in the Rose Bowl and Oklahoma will take on Alabama in the Sugar according to Palm. The Oregon Ducks will take on Wisconsin out of the Big 10 in the Fiesta Bowl. It will be the second Big Ten team that Marcus Mariota and the Ducks will face in 2014 if his prediction rings true. Oregon will face Michigan State on Saturday, September 6th at Autzen Stadium.

Palm also has predictions for the rest of the Pac-12 Conference.Among the highlights UCLA and Baylor in the Cotton Bowl on January 1st and Oklahoma State taking on Stanford in the Alamo Bowl on January 2nd. USC will head to the Holiday Bowl to take on Nebraska and Washington would face Miami in the Sun Bowl.

The 2014 Regular season kicks off for the Oregon Ducks on Saturday, August 30th hosting South Dakota. Kickoff is set for 7:30pm Pacific Time on the Pac-12 Networks.
