Oregon Ducks Weekend At A Glance: Softball in Florida, Baseball in California
Oregon Softball Heads to the Sunshine State(start Tournament 2-0)
The 10th ranked Oregon Softball team(14-3) is playing in the Citrus Classic in Orlando, Florida this weekend and face some more solid competition in non conference play, including #11 and fellow College World Series Returnee LSU, who the Ducks beat 10-2 to open the series on Friday. In the second game Friday, Oregon beat LIU Brooklyn 10-2.
The Ducks face Boston College Saturday(7am) and Temple(9:15am). Sunday’s action includes games against Michigan(6am) and James Madison(9:15am). All Times are Eastern.
Oregon Baseball Set to Face Coach Horton’s Former Team on the Road
Oregon Baseball began their trip to Cal State Fullerton with a loss on Friday night, 8-2. Oregon looks to even the series Saturday afternoon. Coach George Horton spent 11 seasons with the Titans and led them to the College World Series six times, winning it all once. The Ducks look to continue their early season momentum.

The five starting pitchers the Ducks have used this year have combined for an ERA under 2 and 1.97 – Oregon starts a stretch of eight games in the next 10 days, and if that’s not tough enough early in the season, six of those games are against teams ranked in the Top 20.
Oregon’s Three Game Series with Cal State Fullerton continues Saturday at 6pm, and the final game of the series will be on Sunday at 12pm.
The Ducks then return home to face Cal State North Ridge for a two game series.
Oregon Track Athletes Look to Solidify Spots for NCAA Championship
Several Ducks are looking to help their chances of making the NCAA Championship by working on their skills and hopefully improving times in Qualifiers. On Friday Oregon’s Mike Berry won 400 meter hurdles in a season best 46.03 seconds, which ranks fourth nationally at the UW Final Qualifier.
