Oregon Softball(36-6, 10-2 Pac 12) Atop Conference, Moore Named Pac 12 Pitcher of the Week

Oregon Softball had quite the week as they won five of six taking three from Utah in Eugene and two of three on the road at California. Starting Pitcher Jessica Moore was honored for the third time this season as the Pac 12 Pitcher of the Week.

It’s a good week to be a Duck. Oregon now has a 33-6 record overall and are 10-2 in the Pac 12 this season. Looking at the weekend, the Ducks turned to Senior Jessica Moore. She came through big. For the weekend she led the Ducks in ERA (1.59), starts (3), appearances (4), innings (22) and fewest walks (3).

She leads the Ducks with 17 victories on the season with 118.1 innings pitched.

According to a Press Release from the U of O, (Oregon) is off to a best-ever conference start under White, the No. 9 Ducks (33-6, 10-2) staked multiple wins in Berkeley (2) for the first time since 1995, and its sweep of the Utes raised its series win streak to 10 games.

Looking ahead, No. 9 Oregon hosts No. 19 Arizona (26-13, 4-5) for three single games this Friday-Sunday, April 12-14, and the finale will be televised live by the Pac-12 Network.

Promotions-wise, fans that wear pink to ‘Strike Out Cancer Day’ to Friday’s game vs. Arizona (4/12) at 5 p.m. will get $3 admission. The Ducks’ special pink jerseys will be auctioned off during the game sponsored by Carl’s Jr.

Saturday’s game vs. the Wildcats (4/13) at 2 p.m. is Spirit / Yellow Out Day, and fans that wear yellow will get reduced ticket prices ($3 adults / $2 kids). Duck softball player trading cards will also be available for the first time as well as 50 mini-posters, and kids can get autographs after the game.

Sunday’s Arizona finale (4/14) at noon is ASA Day, and kids that wear their softball/baseball uniforms to the game will get $2 tickets. The contest is also a BiMart 2-for-1 ticket deal for fans that show their BiMart cards at the gate.
