For the Pac 12 Network the saga has gone on long enough in dealing with or trying to make a deal for Directv to be a part of the Pac 12 football landscape. They have decided that time is up and they are letting people flat out know it too.
According to the Pac 12 Website they have made it very clear with their wording how they feel. “Direct Answers about DirecTV and Why It’s Time for You to Switch” can’t be much more clear. The Pac 12 Network goes on to say how they have pretty much exhausted all avenues to work with Directv on a deal for the Network .
"“We realize this is affecting many of our fans, and we share their frustration. We built the Pac-12 Networks to give fans unprecedented access to their favorite teams and sports on TV, and with just two weeks before the fall sports schedule begins DirecTV continues to deny them that access.”– Pac-12 Networks President Lydia Murphy-Stephans"
With games starting on August 30th I personally have even noticed several followers on Twitter and Facebook already making the switch from DirecTV. It seems the only way that consumers will be able to get through to their corporate office is to drop their service.
Thankfully the same issue should not come up for the soon the new Fox Sports 1 debuting on August 17th across the country. On many cable and satellite outlets across the country they already have an assigned channel. If you get Speed TV come August 17th it will automatically ‘become’ Fox Sports 1.
