HoopsRumors.com is reporting that former Oregon Duck E.J. Singler has reached a deal with the Portland Trailblazers and will be in training camp with the team. He joined the Blazers back in June for several pre-draft workouts. The 6 foot 6 former Duck dropped in his production between his Junior and Senior years with Oregon but became a favorite of the crowd and his teammates.
Singler also set the record for most games played in a Duck uniform his Senior season. He helped the Ducks to the Sweet 16 where they fell to eventual National Champion Louisville. In his four seasons with Oregon he averaged just under 11 points per game in 142 games, winning 89 contests.
There is a good chance that Singler could end up with the Trailblazers D League team, the Idaho Stampede. Reports say that a roster spot may be a long shot for the upcoming season.
