Things I would expect, Florida State will likely be number one coming off a National Championship and Alabama, Oklahoma and Oregon should be on their heels heading into the upcoming season. The bigger question, for me, is where do the next tier of Pac-12 teams fall entering the 2014 campaign?
Will Stanford be on the heels of the Oregon Ducks, or will another team be ranked higher entering the season? In several polls that have already come out the UCLA Bruins were ranked ahead of the Cardinal. I have also noticed that a matchup that a few months was expected to be a top five clash may end up being a mediocre contest depending on where teams fall in the polls.
The Oregon Ducks and Michigan State Spartans was expected to be the game of the year and the hype will continue to build of both the Ducks and Spartans enter the season ranked high in the Coaches Poll. However, if the Oregon Ducks are in the top five and Michigan State is just outside of the top ten will the spotlight shine as brightly at Autzen come September 6th for the game?
We’ll find out soon enough the thoughts of coaches across the country.
