Oregon Running Back Thomas Tyner Injures Shoulder vs Michigan State
Maybe you did not notice, or maybe you did. Oregon Ducks Running Back Thomas Tyner did not make an appearance in the last twenty minutes last weekend in the game against Michigan State. The reason I say ‘didn’t notice’ is that the man who was in at Running Back scored two touchdowns on the day against the Spartans. Freshman Running Back Royce Freeman has four touchdowns on the year for Oregon so far.

Tyner described a ‘stinger’ to Andrew Greif from the Oregonian on Wednesday, but the key to the Oregon Ducks three headed monster running back attack this season does not expect to miss time. Thomas Tyner has had several injuries in his career, including a partially torn labrum in high school and several years ago he pulled his hamstring during a race at Hayward Field, which he clearly recovered from.
A stinger gets better each day. It is unclear if the Oregon Ducks will start Tyner, as he has the first two games of the season, against Wyoming this weekend or if Freshman Royce Freeman will get his first career start. Don’t be surprised if he does, he has clearly earned it. If there is a game where Tyner could ‘rest’, it would be Wyoming most likely. Oregon is favored by forty three points against the Cowboys as of Friday morning.
