Comcast Sportsnet: Oregon Left Tackle Jake Fisher to Start Against UCLA

It is a welcomed sigh of relief for an Offensive Line that has been depleted with injuries all season. The Oregon Ducks will enter the game on Saturday against UCLA with some experience returning to the front line as Offensive Tackle Jake Fisher returns to action after several weeks of being out with an injury according to Aaron Fentress with Comcast Sportsnet.

More from Oregon Ducks Football

The Oregon Ducks Offensive Line has had issues over the last two games protecting Quarterback Marcus Mariota and has given up twelve sacks over the last two games. Six against Arizona in a loss last Thursday and six in the previous game at Washington State in a win. With Fisher back it should solidify the Oregon Ducks Offensive Line and give Mariota time to be more ‘Mariota-like’ against UCLA. I realize that one man cannot make a team, but in this case it will help to patch up a Line that has had cracks, for the most part, all season long in 2014.

The report also talks about Defensive End Arik Armstead who exited the game against Arizona with an injury. He will be a gametime decision on Saturday. The game with the UCLA Bruins kicks off at 12:30pm Pacific Time on Fox.
