The Oregon Ducks are a part of a rather amazing statisitic. It has been four-thousand days today since the Washington Huskies last beat the Oregon Ducks in football. This season the attention of the series takes on some additional emphasis in that both teams need a win to keep pace for a shot at the College Football Playoff.

For the first time in quite a few years, the home team has a worse Pac-12 record entering the week. So far this year the away team has had the advantage winning fourteen times vs four home team wins. Last weekend both teams were on the road. Oregon beat UCLA 42-30 and Washington topped Cal in Berkeley 31-7.

Oregon also had their first one-hundred yard rushing performance of the year in Freshman Running Back Royce Freeman. Entering Saturday both teams have five wins on the season. Washington is not ranked entering the game, but a win would change that for the Huskies.

In the category of Passing Offense the Oregon Ducks are ranked twentieth in the country. Washington sits at one-hundred and fourth. Rushing the ball the numbers are closer. with Oregon rushing two-hundred seventeen yards per game(17th) and the Cougars running one-hundred ninety yards per game this season(40th). Washington is also ranked in the top fifty(20th) in redzone defense this season giving up just twenty scores to their opponents this season.

Washington also has one of the bigger Defensive Lines they will face in the Pac-12 this season so again it comes down to the guys up front in the trenches.  Last time Oregon faced a similar O-line was against Arizona several weeks ago. The result was a loss.

The Oregon Ducks and Washington Huskies will kickoff on Saturday at 5pm Pacific Time on Fox Sports 1.
