Will Wide Receiver Devon Allen Make An Impact?

I was a little surprised last weekend at Michigan State when the commentators on tv mentioned Devon Allen in the game. He did not record a reception, but he was on the field. He is back at full speed according to the Oregonian and is another weapon for the Oregon Ducks for the rest of the season. Allen has been out recovering from an injured knee ligament suffered during the Rose Bowl against Florida State last season. One aspect of the Oregon Ducks Offense that likely helped Allen in his recovery process was depth at Wide Receiver as pointed out by the article.

Oregon will also likely see the return of Dwayne Stanford on Saturday. He did play last weekend, but his name was not called much on the receiving end. Bralon Addison had himself a day with over one-hundred seventy yards receiving. I will be looking for Oregon to spread the ball around a little more against the Panthers. The Ducks have eight Wide Receivers in rotation this season and will look to add an experienced ninth in another month.

The Ducks will welcome back Wide Receiver Darren Carrington off suspension in time for the game against Washington State on October 10th. Now is the time for Allen to make a move to get back into being a key player in the Oregon Ducks Offense.
