How Different Will The 4-3 Perform From The 3-4 Last Season?

Oregon Defensive Coordinator Brady Hoke has been hard at work reshaping the Oregon Defense. The shift from the 3-4 to the 4-3 has been challenging. Last week after practice he did not have much comment, but more frustration that was clear. The Defensive Backfield could see a dramatic change with as many as ten players shifting in and out throughout games this season.

Oregon lost one of their experienced players in Chris Seisay who announced two weeks ago his intent to transfer. He found a new home just up I-5 at Portland State and will play Wide Receiver for the Vikings. A date to circle on the calendar for next season: Portland State visits Oregon.

The position of Linebacker will be worth watching Saturday. There is a ton of young talent on the Defensive Line. Will they be able to post a shutout against UC Davis? If they do, Hoke may have his first real smile since the Spring.
