The Oregon Ducks Men’s Basketball Program is working to get back to the NCAA Tournament and another future player has Oregon is his Top Six.

Kevin Porter, Jr. is part of the Class of 2018 and has a slew of Pac-12 schools under his consideration. The Oregon Ducks and Oregon State Beavers are two of those schools. He is rated the second best Shooting Guard out of Washington State by 247Sports.

From what I have seen in the past, typically players in Washington stay close to home when it comes to where they want to play. Porter was offered by Oregon back in October and the Ducks would be an intriguing landing spot.

A Dana Altman style of Offense is far from typical and playing time may not be an issue. He will clearly have to earn it. Altman has found a way to make it work for seven seasons in Eugene, including back to back Elite Eight appearances and a Final Four Appearance this past season.  The message should be clear. Altman knows how to build winning teams.

Just as Chris Boucher was the key to Oregon’s run in 2017, Porter could add a piece that the Ducks will need in 2018. He could be a change of place player. The Oregon Ducks like to run fast and Porter is working on his game, including picking up confidence scoring and his Defense.

It will be a rebuilding year in 2017 for the Oregon Ducks regardless of how you look at it. Oregon will have to replace Dillon Brooks, Tyler Dorsey, Jordan Bell, and Chris Boucher.
