Oregon Basketball vs Boise State Cheat Sheet

Oregon Basketball meets Boise State without a key player on Friday night.

The Oregon Ducks(5-2) face Boise State(6-1) at Matthew Knight Arena. Both teams know how to win with both teams having five consecutive 20 win seasons. Boise State knows how to shoot the ball and leads the Mountain West with 85 three-pointers made in seven games. The Ducks Defense will have to play better then they did last week at the Phil Knight Invitational.

The Boise Defense has also made some headlines holding opponents to just over 60 points per game, but in watching Oregon Basketball this season the points can come quickly and from anyone on the floor. Oregon will be without Freshman Troy Brown Jr. who is still in concussion protocol following the Oklahoma game last week.

Oregon is averaging 87 points per game. Boise puts up 79 per game, but the Broncos are hitting three-pointers at 42 percent on the young season. These two teams have played well the last two seasons and have played each other, with each team winning on their respective home courts.

Against Loyola last week, Boise State had five players in double figures and shot 16 3-pointers. Justinian Jessup leads all scorers averaging 14 points per game. Chandler Hutchison averages 10 points per game, along with over 7 rebounds. The Broncos also turn the ball over with four players averaging double figures in turnovers in 7 games.

The Oregon Ducks have the talent to compete against Boise State but must play mistake-free basketball, limiting turnovers and not committing dumb fouls.
