Some are looking ahead to the 2019 NFL Draft and a current Oregon Football Quarterback may have a big decision to make.

Quarterback Justin Herbert did not have a very memorable first game against the Washington Huskies back in 2016. Last season he opened the year as the Starter and took the Oregon Ducks as far as he could before an injury cost him the rest of the season.

Oregon jumped out to a 6-1 start in 2017 before a dive into the end zone broke Herbert’s clavicle and ended his season.

2018 brings new faces, a new Head Coach in Mario Cristobal and a reinvigorated football program with a set standard in developing from the trenches out. Defensive Coordinator signed an extension in the offseason that will keep him in Eugene over the next few years. With players and coaches refocused on the team, the upcoming season could be special for Oregon Football.

For those that like to prognosticate, the 2019 NFL Draft will not necessarily be the wealth of Quarterback talent as this year, but Justin Herbert is near the top of the list and could land as a Top 5 pick next year in the NFL Draft.

247 Sports broke down what analysts thought and many attribute Herbert’s size at 6 foot 3 translating to the NFL Game. The experience at Oregon in a somewhat Pro Style Offense doesn’t hurt either.

If Justin Herbert begins the 2018 season like last season, he may have a decision to make. He will be eligible to enter the 2019 NFL Draft after next season. The Oregon Ducks came off the 2017 season losing to Boise State in the Las Vegas Bowl.
