Oregon Football has taken the Graduate Transfer Route for the second time this season to fill an area of need at Wide Receiver.

On Wednesday, Wake Forest Wide Receiver Tabari Hines announced he will join Oregon Football for the Fall. He graduates in June and will be in Eugene in early July in time for Fall Camp. The Ducks enter the 2018 season with a bevy of talent at Wide Receiver but lack depth at the position. For an Offense that is looking to set the pace rather than follow it, the addition of Hines makes sense.

Last season for Wake Forest, Hines had 53 receptions for 683 yards and 7 touchdowns. While those numbers are slightly better than Charles Nelson’s Senior numbers, Hines enjoyed his visit to Eugene recently and spoke about the relationships he built with Head Coach Mario Cristobal and Quarterback Justin Herbert as being factors in coming to Oregon over USC and Texas.

Hines started in six games last season that included the final four games of the regular season. The move could potentially mean more playing time on the field. It also doesn’t hurt when the Quarterback throwing the ball your way has hit over 60 percent of his passes the previous season.

Oregon Football continues to add to their Offensive Roster making smart moves Hines is the second Graduate Transfer to join the Offense following the addition of Tight End Kano Dillon last week. Both Dillon and Hines bring experience to a young Oregon Offense that could make a big difference for the 2018 season.

The Oregon Ducks Coaching Staff has started to change the culture of the program over the last season. Recruits are starting to listen. With Graduate Transfers looking for a landing spot to play one season and make a difference, the tide is turning in Eugene.
