Elijah Brown Finds Spot With Golden State Warriors Summer League
Despite not being selected in the 2018 NBA Draft, Elijah Brown already has plans for the Summer and it includes spending time with family.
Last week it was reported that the former Oregon Basketball player Elijah Brown will be joining the Golden State Warriors Summer League. His father, Mike Brown, is an assistant with the Golden State Warriors. The father-son combo could be sharing a bench together in the near future. During his final collegiate season with the Oregon Ducks, Brown showed a flair for the three-point shot.
Brown transferred into Oregon following the Final Four season in 2016, helping a team looking for leadership. Despite inconsistency, Elijah Brown averaged close to 14 points per game in 34 games helping lead the team to an NIT bid. Elijah Brown and Troy Brown, along with Mikyle McIntosh were three players that found a way to play together working to build chemistry along the way.
While he may have a long way to go to make a roster spot in the NBA, he will have the opportunity to show off his skill set this summer. At 6 foot 4 he has the size and he also plays well on the Defensive end working well underneath as well as outside the basket. He has quick feet. His best asset is his three-point shot when he is found as an outlet. He gets the ball off quickly outside the arc.
Elijah Brown is a combo guard who has close to 200 games of experience at the College Level. He will be joining another former Oregon Duck in Chris Boucher in the D League with the Golden State Warriors this summer. Jordan Bell, coming off his first season and an NBA Championship may also land in the D League for the summer.
