Chris Boucher found a new Summer League home with the Toronto Raptors after being released by the Golden State Warriors.

Returning from an ACL Injury is never easy. Former Oregon Duck Chris Boucher spent a season with Golden State Warriors appearing in 20 games for the team in the G-League. He was cut by Golden State two weeks ago while he was playing with Team Canada as they prepare for FIBA in 2019 along with fellow Oregon teammate Dillon Brooks.

The last two weeks have seen a busy Chris Boucher. He found a new team with the Toronto Raptors who signed him through the rest of the NBA Summer League. Boucher will be as much of an experiment with Toronto as he was with Golden State. His background is not 100 percent basketball and found a niche and stuck with it finding success in his two seasons with the Oregon Ducks.

In his final season, he tore his ACL in the Pac-12 Tournament as the team was en route to the Final Four, where they came up short and lost against North Carolina. Boucher did show a big improvement from his first to his second year as an Oregon Duck. His three-point game improved as his propensity to block shots and make highlight-reel plays on Defense continued. He has shown similar skills with Golden State.

Chris Boucher was the difference maker against the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night. He played well with his new teammates in front of much of the brass for Toronto. He made a good impression. Offensively he finished with 12 points but made his biggest game impact on the Defensive end with 6 rebounds, 6 blocks, and 2 steals in the 85-77 win, the team’s first in the 2018 NBA Summer League.
