This is more of a pipe dream than a realistic option but Oregon should inquire here, nonetheless.

Derion Kendrick was considered a first-round NFL draft pick at one point during the 2020 season and was named an All-ACC performer yet again, but he was dismissed from Clemson following a violation of team rules and was arrested a few weeks ago. He entered the transfer portal and is one of the most sought-after targets on the market.

Kendrick clearly comes with a little baggage, but whatever team that gets him is getting a guy who could be an All-American right away and immediate improve that defensive backfield.

Teams like Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Texas and TCU have reached out to the Clemson transfer as of a month ago, but he has still yet to pick a new home. If he’s still on the market, that means he is probably waiting for the right fit and maybe the Ducks could provide that.

Oregon is losing Deommodore Lenoir and Thomas Graham Jr. at cornerback, so adding one — the best one, at that — in the transfer portal would be a home run.
