2. Noah Sewell

For whatever reason, Noah Sewell hasn’t gotten the same amount of love as some other guys on the roster this season despite ranking third in the Pac-12 in total tackles with 36.

That should change soon.

Sewell added to his total tackles number in Week 4 with a huge 14-tackle game, leading both teams on Saturday night. He was all over the field and it seemed like he was in on every stop which is something that we all expected from him at the start of the year. Yet somehow he’s not getting the respect he deserves.

If you asked a casual Oregon fan where Sewell ranked in the Pac-12 in total tackles, they would probably tell you somewhere around the top-10 but not quite in just yet. And that’s what I thought, too, but after this game against Arizona, he jumped to third.

There’s a reason Sewell was on all preseason defender watch lists and he needs to be considered an All-Pac-12 lock at this point. Saturday was a ‘prove it’ game for Sewell.
