Another one of the top targets for Oregon, and a former commit, who Mario Cristobal is trying to get to follow him to Miami, TJ Dudley went back on the market following the head coach’s departure.

Dudley, a four-star linebacker from Montgomery, Ala., committed to Oregon back in late June when the Ducks were on an absolute tear on the trail. He decommitted a week ago when Cristobal was hired away by Miami and he felt that he needed to think about his future and potentially wait to see who Oregon would hire to replace him.

The fact that a defensive-minded head coach was brought in after leading Georgia to the No. 1 defense in college football in two of the past three years may be enough to sway him back.

Will he sign somewhere on Wednesday? Not too sure, but Oregon has to be right there fighting for his commitment.

Dudley may very well wait until February to sign, but in the off-chance that he’s bought in to Lanning as the next head coach enough to re-commit, he’d be a heck of an addition — again.

He’s the No. 198 overall recruit in the class.
