"With the first pick of the 2025 NFL Draft the Tennessee Titans... have traded their selection to the Las Vegas Raiders," is what NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will say on April 24... probably. While the Titans might need a franchise quarterback and they have a lot of cap space, Tennessee will most likely hold out for a strong draft class of QBs and stick with Will Levis for another year.
So, with that prediction out of the way, how will the rest of the Draft unfold and will Oregon fans hear the names of any Ducks during the first two rounds? Here's what I think will go down and how the first two rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft will unfold:
NFL Mock Draft, Round 1:
The buzz that has been created around Shedeur Sanders is well worth it. The two-year HBCU quarterback turned FBS star led the Colorado Buffaloes from an abysmal 4-8 record in 2023 to a 9-4 overall record in 2024.
While Sanders might be taken first in the Draft, former Miami quarterback Cam Ward is one of the highest-graded quarterback prospects the NFL has seen in a while and the Cleveland Browns are in desperate need of a new franchise player holding the reigns of their offense.
While Jalen Milroe didn't have the career that his predecessors did at Alabama, the former Crimson Tide quarterback would be a great fit for the New York Giants who are also in desperate need of a new QB after cutting Daniel Jones from their roster.
Defensive end Abdul Carter was a menace for the Nittany Lions during his three seasons for Penn State. Now, Carter is going to become a defensive menace in the NFL which is exactly what the New England Patriots need after a disappointing 4-13 finish to the last season.
While the Wolverines didn't have their dream season after they won the National Championship last season, Michigan once again has star power heading to the NFL Draft. Cornerback Will Johnson would be a perfect addition to the Jacksonville Jaguars' depleted secondary.
The Heisman-winning, two-way player will most likely fall to the No. 6 overall Draft pick simply due to the necessity of quarterbacks across the league. Travis Hunter was a star for the Colorado Buffaloes and will most likely be one in the league if the Tennessee Titans drafted him as a defensive back.
With a dilapidated Aaron Rodgers at quarterback, the New York Jets must beef up their offensive line and former LSU Tiger Will Campbell would be the perfect man for the job. At 6-foot-6 and 323 pounds, Campbell is nearly impossible for defensive lineman to get past which would give Rodgers the much-needed time to get the ball downfield.
Former Alabama quarterback Bryce Young needs more targets downfield so he isn't stuck scrambling on every offensive snap for the Carolina Panthers. If the team can pick up Tetairoa McMillan, former Arizona wideout, in the Draft, Young would get one of the top wide receivers in the class.
Luther Burden III didn't produce the numbers that he expected to during the 2024 season but his previous stats speak for themselves. Burden would take pressure off of the New Orleans Saints' starting quarterback Derek Carr once he returns to the lineup.
Ashton Jeanty was undeniably the most remarkable running back in collegiate football throughout last season. Not only did he break records while working for the Boise State Broncos but his ability to earn yards after contact is exactly what the Chicago Bears' offense needs.
While the San Francisco 49ers have some of the best offensive weapons in the NFL, their defensive unit is lacking in power. If the 49ers could recruit former Tennessee edge rusher James Pearce Jr., San Francisco would be one step closer to a complete roster.
The Dallas Cowboys need a lot of help to fix the place they are currently in and former Georgia Bulldogs safety Malaki Starks would be a great place to start. If the Cowboys can beef up their secondary with players like Starks, Dallas might stand a chance at getting to the postseason next year.
Throughout the 2024 season, Penn State tight end Tyler Warren showed that he is able to play just about any position well. However, as the former Nittany Lion enters the 2025 NFL Draft, Warren will be a highly sought-after receiver due to his sure hands and larger frame.
Ohio State wide receiver Emeka Egbuka broke the Buckeyes' record for career receptions and is set to continue his success at the professional level. While the Indianapolis Colts continue to find their franchise quarterback, having more star receivers downfield will help anyone who takes the snaps.
With players like Micheal Penix Jr. and Bijan Robinson leading their offense, the Atlanta Falcons took one step closer to being a complete franchise. If the Falcons can work on building their defensive unit with players like Georgia edge rusher Jalon Walker, they will continue the building process perfectly.
While the Arizona Cardinals have a lot of talent on their offense like quarterback Kyler Murray and wideout Marvin Harrison Jr. However, the Cardinals desperately need to protect Murray so that he has time to get the ball downfield. Offensive lineman Tyler Booker would be a perfect addition after his three seasons for the Crimson Tide.
Quarterback Joe Burrow repeatedly has an MVP-caliber season for the Bengals but the Cincinnati defense continues to slow down its opponents. With the addition of a player like Mason Graham to the defensive line, Cincinnati could work towards mitigating that issue.
Kenneth Grant, who played alongside Graham, was a standout defensive lineman for the Michigan Wolverines. Much like the Bengals, the Seattle Seahawks need help on the defensive end of the ball. Grant would make a great addition to Seattle's defensive line if the Seahawks selected him 18th overall in the Draft.
Nic Scourton transferred to Texas A&M after two seasons with the Purdue Boilermakers and is now headed to the league. After earning an impressive 37 total tackles, 5 sacks, 2 pass deflections, and 1 forced fumble, Scourton is the perfect addition to a Tampa Bay defensive line that needs some power.
Defensive back Benjamin Morrison had some of the toughest assignments as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish progressed through the College Football Playoffs, including Ohio State's star wideout Jeremiah Smith. While the Broncos seemingly figured out their offense during the 2024 season, their defensive secondary could use a reliable star like Morrison.
The Pittsburgh Steelers' season once again ended after just one game in the postseason, calling into question the tenure of head coach Mike Tomlin. However, if Tomlin and the Steelers can bring in some high-power talent on the defensive side of the ball, like Jahdae Barron, the Pittsburgh head coach's job will most likely be safe for at least a few more years.
Los Angeles quarterback Justin Herbert (yes, the Oregon legend) needs targets downfield for him to pass to. A big-framed tight end like Colston Loveland would give Herbert a great option to look to as his work-in-progress offensive line tries to give him some time to pass the ball.
Another Texas A&M defensive lineman who made his presence known throughout the 2024 regular season was Shemar Stewart. At 6-foot-6 and 290 pounds, Stewart's massive frame has had him ready for the NFL for a few years and now that his technique is buttoned up, he would make for a great addition to Green Bay's defensive line.
The first non-Power Conference player to come off the board will most likely be East Carolina cornerback Shavon Revel Jr. Throughout his three seasons with the Pirate, Revel earned 8 pass deflections and 3 interceptions as quarterbacks quickly learned to avoid targeting whichever receiver he was guarding.
The Houston Texans desperately need to protect quarterback C.J. Stroud better. The addition of dominant offensive lineman Kelvin Banks Jr. from the Texas Longhorns would help the Texans get one step closer to doing just that.
Offensive lineman Armand Membou became a starter for the Missouri Tigers as a freshman and never looked back. As he looks to play at the next level, the offensive tackle will most likely be picked up by the LA Rams who desperately need talent on their O-Line.
Aireontae Ersery is huge. There is simply no other way to look at it. At 6-foot-6 and 330 pounds, the former Minnesota Golden Gophers offensive tackle is a commanding presence on the line and his ability to maintain a sturdy base makes him extremely difficult for pass rushers to bypass.
The Detroit offense is a smooth operation. However, the Lions' defense could take a step closer to perfection after their postseason run ended in the NFC Divisional round. Mykel Williams is a force to be reckoned with as a pass rusher and could be exactly what the Lions need on their D-Line.
Somewhat surprisingly, the UCLA Bruins have one of the best linebackers in the 2025 NFL Draft class with Carson Schwesinger entering his name into the ring. Schwesinger earned a jaw-dropping 136 total tackles throughout the Bruins' season as well as 4 sacks, 3 pass deflections, 2 interceptions, and 1 forced fumble.
Everyone knows that a Buffalo Bills offense led by Josh Allen is ready for just about any matchup. However, the Buffalo defensive unit could use some work. Former South Carolina defensive lineman T.J. Sanders could add the necessary size to the line at 6-foot-4 and 290 pounds.
Another non-Power Conference player who could go in the first round is Mike Green, an edge rusher from the Marshall Thundering Herd. Green earned a resounding 81 tackles and 17 (yes, seventeen) sacks throughout the 2024 season and would be a perfect addition to the Philadelphia defensive line.
The second Texas Longhorn to come off the board will be wideout Matthew Golden. The Chiefs fell in love with WRs from Texas this year as rookie Xavier Worthy excelled for Kansas City. Golden would make the KC receiving corps nearly impossible to slow down.

The first Duck to come off the board likely won't hear his name called into the second round of the Draft. Offensive lineman Josh Conerly Jr. At 6-foot-4 and 315 pounds, Conerly is a commanding presence on any offensive line and would certainly help protect Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
