Across college football, the top priority at the moment is recruiting, as spring practices around the country have ended. Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks have made a yearly tradition out of signing a top 5 recruiting class. As things currently stand, Oregon sits outside the top 5, but luring in 3 of the top targets could quickly catapult the Ducks up the rankings.
The 3 recruiting targets Dan Lanning needs to secure this Summer
Dakota Guerrant - Wide Receiver
The Oregon Ducks have made it clear that Dakota Guerrant is one of their most coveted recruits, regardless of position. Luring Guerrant out of Michigan in a battle with the Wolverines won't be easy, but the staff has put themselves in a great position. Pairing Will Mencl, the Nation's top QB recruit, with a star receiver like Guerrant would give the Ducks an exciting duo of the future.
Hayden Stepp - Cornerback
Donte Wright was a top flip candidate for Oregon, but when the 5-star defensive back decided to pick Miami when he flipped from Georgia, it forced the Ducks to pivot. Oregon is one of 4 finalists for elite cornerback recruit Hayden Stepp, who should become a much bigger priority in this class. Stepp is an exciting prospect with a ton of length who could develop into a nice piece for the Ducks.
Ismael Camara - Offensive Line
The Oregon Ducks have started to piece the future offensive line together nicely over the past two weeks, landing center Gus Corsair and offensive tackle Cameron Wagner. The Ducks still have plenty of work to do after only signing 3 offensive linemen last recruiting cycle. The top target remaining for the Ducks is top-40 recruit Ismael Camara who's heavily trending toward Oregon, but Dan Lanning and the staff can't let another school swoop in.
