Oregon's first commitment of the 2027 class is no longer committed.

Kesean Bowman, the five-star wide receiver from Brentwood Academy in Brentwood, Tennessee, decommitted from Oregon Friday afternoon after visiting Tennessee last weekend during their 44-41 overtime loss to Georgia.

The No. 6 wide receiver and No. 36 prospect in his class according to the 247Sports Composite, Bowman caught 56 passes for 1,023 yards and eight touchdowns last season. He'd been committed to the Ducks since July.

Because he's a 2027 prospect, not due to arrive on a college campus for two seasons, the Ducks still have time to replace him. They still have two more seasons to uitlize the dynamic talents of Dakorien Moore and Cooper Perry, and in the 2026 class they have commitments from Messiah Hampton, Jalen Lott plus twitchy, explosive running back/receiver Tradarian Ball.

Also, Idaho sprinter Gatlin Bair is due back on campus after completing his religious mission in the fall 2026. Bair, 6-2, 195, has run the 100 meters in 10.15, making him one of the fastest schoolboy sprinters of all time. In his senior year at Burley High School he grabbed 73 passes for 1,073 yards and 18 touchdowns.

As a player returning to football he's free to reopen his commitment, but the No. 43 overall prospect and No. 10 wide receiver said in February 2024, "Coach (Dan) Lanning and Junior (Adams) are two incredible guys. I think they do an incredible job and they're going to continue to do an incredible job."

Adams of course has moved on to the Dallas Cowboys, but the program continues to thrive. Having an offense that cranks out 54 points a game makes it an attractive landing spot for receiver talent, and players like Troy Franklin, Tez Johnson and Terrance Ferguson are thriving in the NFL
