Dakorien Moore stormed into Eugene, OR, and stole the show during his freshman season, despite missing three regular-season games, by earning 497 yards and three touchdowns on just 34 receptions.

Now, as the wide receiver's sophomore season starts to rise over the horizon, Moore is back to work with the football team, but he's also lacing up a different pair of shoes.

Earlier this week, the Ducks' track and field team announced that Moore would swap out his football cleats for a pair of spikes, participating in the long jump event during the Oregon Team Invitational meet at Hayward Field.

Ducks add Dakorien Moore to Oregon Team Invitational entry list

Alongside Oregon's usual long jump athletes, Aiden Carter, Tre Betts, and Titouan Bizet, Moore will suit up in a track and field uniform to compete in the event on Friday.

Moore is listed in the first flight for the event, as is Carter, which means he will be part of the first group of 10 to go through three attempts to qualify for the final round.

After the first and second flights go through their attempts, the top nine jumpers will move onto the final round, where they will have three more attempts to earn the best jump in the field and secure the first-place finish.

This is Moore's first time suiting up with the track and field team this season, but he did compete in the sport throughout high school.

Football head coach Dan Lanning and track head coach Jerry Schumacher have yet to comment on Moore's participation in the Oregon Team Invitational.

The meet is scheduled to take place on Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18, with visiting teams including Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Wichita State, and a few others. Fans can tune into the Big Ten Network+ to see the athletes in action.
