He visits Texas on November 22nd, and the Longhorns will no doubt line up the Lamborghinis.
Braylon Hodge, a 2026 linebacker decommitted from Michigan State today, just ahead of a visit to Oregon. He's a 6-3, 212 backer from Cherry Creek High School in Greenwood, Colorado, the school that sent the Ducks Blake Purchase.
Hodge told Steve Wiltfong of On3 Sports, “As of now it’s equal between Oregon, Texas and Michigan.”
The offer list and final three suggest he's due for a ratings bump. Currently he's No. 274 prospect in the 247Sports Composite; Rivals/On3 ranks him as the No. 9 linebacker.
The Ducks have just one linebacker committed in the 2026 class, Tristan Phillips of Ventura High in Ventura, California.
Hodge moves well and he's a good tackler with the frame to play in the 230s. He told Caleb Sisk of the Michigan State Sports Illustrated site, "Off the field, I'm respectful, focused, and driven. I work hard in school and try to set a good example for the people around me. I try to keep the same energy and leadership off the field as I do on it, just try to be a good person all around."
Hodge visited Michigan on October 4. Talking about his final three he said to Greg Smith of Rivals, “It’s kind of just where I feel it when I’m out there,” Hodge said. “My top three right now they’re all good programs. No matter where I go, I’m going to be developed. I’m going to have a good college experience, so honestly, it’s just where I feel like I fit myself best.”
As a junior the Cherry Creek product racked up 50 tackles, a sack, an interception, a forced fumble and two pass breakups, according to Iowa site Hawk Fanatic. He needs to fill out and gain strength, but Wilson Love and the Oregon nutrition program can help him with that.
