The day has arrived. The No. 1 Oregon Ducks have stormed their way into the Big Ten Championship game and are just one win away from the top seed, a perfect record, and a first-round bye in the first-ever 12-team College Football Playoffs.

The Ducks just have to get past the No. 3 Penn State Nittany Lions – not an easy task this season. As head coaches Dan Lanning and James Franklin prepare their squads for the big-time conference title game, the odds for who will win have been unsurprisingly close.

With just a few hours until kickoff, here are the final odds for the Big Ten Championship game between Oregon and Penn State.

Odds for No. 1 Oregon vs. No. 3 Penn State

  • Spread: -3.5 Oregon
  • Moneyline: -170 Oregon, +140 Penn State
  • Over-Under: 50.5 points

The Ducks are favored by just 3.5 points – barely more than a field goal expected to separate the two times by the time the final whistle blows. Despite the minimal projected point differential, the two teams are expected to combine for more than 50 total points

What is truly shocking about the 50.5-point projected point total is that Oregon has allowed just 16.2 points per game by its opponents with Penn State allowing a minuscule 14.0 points per game.

If you asked me, the Ducks will fly home with the win – by more than 3 or 4 points – but neither team scores more than 24 points, so the Over-Under is dramatically high.

The No. 1 Oregon Ducks and the No. 3 Penn State Nittany Lions are kicking off from Lucas Oil Stadium – home to the Indianapolis Colts. The two Big Ten powerhouses are scheduled to kick off at 4 p.m. PT on CBS.
