The recruiting dominance of the Oregon Ducks continued when Mark Bowman, a four-star tight end prospect from the class of 2026, announced that he would take an official visit to Eugene on June 20, as well as two other programs.
Bowman, who plays high school football for Mater Dei, will also visit the Texas Longhorns and the Georgia Bulldogs over the summer before visiting head coach Dan Lanning and the Ducks.
Mark Bowman checks in at No. 21 in the 2026 On300 and the elite TE at Mater Dei has locked in OVs with Texas, Georgia and Oregon, three major players in this race.

The California native took an unofficial visit with the Ducks on Nov. 12, 2024, when Oregon hosted and defeated the Ohio State Buckeyes. Oregon initially sent an offer Bowman's way in January of 2024, right after the tight end's freshman season ended.
Throughout the 2023 and 2024 seasons, Bowman earned 43 total receptions for 560 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns. Just over a month ago, Bowman announced that he had reclassified to the class of 2026 from the class of 2027.
In 2023, Bowman earned MaxPreps Freshman All-American honors and in 2024, he earned a MaxPreps All-America second-team selection as he and his team went to the MaxPreps National Championship and defeated the No. 1 team in the country.
As of now, Oregon has zero tight end commitments joining the program. The Ducks lost senior tight ends Terrance Ferguson and Patrick Herbert after the 2024 season. Kenyon Sadiq will enter his junior season in 2025 after becoming a standout target during the Ducks' first season in the Big Ten.
Lanning and the Ducks will kick off their 2025 season at Autzen Stadium against the Montana State Bobcats on Aug. 30.
