Sophomore point guard Jackson Shelstad continued his sharp shooting in conference play as he and the Oregon Ducks collected their second straight road win in Big Ten play with a victory over the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Shelstad, who earlier in the week scored 24 points against Ohio State in Oregon's win over the Buckeyes, produced a team-leading 17 points against the Nittany Lions to help secure win No. 15 of the season for the Ducks.

Behind Shelstad's scoring streak, Oregon defeated Penn State 82-81 to improve to 15-2 overall and 4-2 in conference games.

Beyond his 17-point performance, Shelstad also contributed 8 assists and 2 rebounds during the Big Ten matchup. Senior guard Jadrian Tracey produced 13 points of his own while senior center Nate Bittle scored 11 points to add to the Oregon total.

Kwame Evans Jr. and Keeshawn Barthelemy came off the bench for head coach Dana Altman and contributed 25 combined points. Transfer guard TJ Bamba started for Oregon and had an impressive game with 10 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.

Despite Penn State's Freddie Dilione V and Nick Kern Jr. combining for 40 points, the Nittany Lions simply couldn't hold back the Oregon offensive front as the Ducks eked out the one-point victory.

The 15-2 overall record is Oregon's best start to a season since 2016-17 when the Ducks made it all the way to the Final Four of the March Madness tournament before losing to No. 1 North Carolina Tar Heels by just one point.

The Ducks will fly back to Eugene to play two home games at Matthew Knight Arena against the No. 20 Purdue Boilermakers (Jan. 18) and the Washington Huskies (Jan. 21) before hitting the road again in Big Ten play.
