After just one day of the Reese's Senior Bowl week, former Oregon Ducks are already standing out amongst their competition as practices and drills unfold. Most notably, quarterback Dillon Gabriel and linebacker Jeffrey Bassa put up some impressive stats to wow the NFL scouts in attendance.
Both Bassa and Gabriel found themselves on the leaderboard after the first day of activities ahead of the annual Senior Bowl game.

Dillon Gabriel stats at Senior Bowl
- Fastest initial ball speed – 74.9 MPH
- Highest initial rotation – 664 RPM
Gabriel tied with former Oregon quarterback Tyler Shough, who transferred to Texas Tech and then Lousiville, for the highest initial rotation off of their passes.
Gabriel blew the competition away when it came to the fastest initial air speed at a whopping 74.9 miles per hour. For reference, former Tennessee quarterback Joe Milton threw 62 MPH for the NFL Combine record in 2024.
Jeffrey Bassa stats at Senior Bowl
- LBs/TEs speed leaders – 20.36 MPH
After a day of showing off his elite speed and ball skills, Bassa clocked the fastest speed out of all tight ends and linebackers. The former Oregon linebacker ran nearly 1 mile per hour faster than the next man on the leaderboard, former Oklahoma State linebacker Nickolas Martin.
While not every Oregon player found himself on the leaderboard after the first day, many Ducks had standout performances on Day 1. Former Oregon wide receiver Tez Johnson repeatedly evaded defenders throughout the day and offensive lineman Josh Conerly Jr. continued to wow recruits.
