Who other than Justin Herbert? The beloved Duck quarterback turned LA Chargers star earned the highest average grade over Weeks 7 and 8 of the NFL season – out of any position or any player in the entire league.

With former Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh leading the charge alongside him, Herbert has excelled throughout the 2024 season and shown growth nearly every single week.

While the Oregon legend only won one of the last two games he played in, he earned an average rating of 104.2 according to ESPN and 95.0 according to PFF.

Over Week 7, Herbert completed 27 of 39 pass attempts for a jaw-dropping 349 yards through the air. While he didn't score any touchdowns against the Arizona Cardinals in the game, Herbert's accuracy and arm strength boosted his rating.

In the Chargers' Week 8 game against the New Orleans Saints, Herbert was seemingly unstoppable. He completed 20 of 32 pass attempts for 279 yards and 2 touchdowns. Not to mention, the quarterback got to show off his legs as he bolted down the field for 49 rushing yards on 4 carries.

Herbert played for the Oregon Ducks from 2016 until 2020. He racked up an astonishing 10,541 passing yards, 95 passing touchdowns, 560 rushing yards, and 13 rushing touchdowns throughout his four-year collegiate career.

The Eugene native went to high school just a few miles from the University of Oregon's campus and his younger brother, Patrick Herbert, is still on the Ducks' roster. Herbert made a name for himself while he was at Oregon and continues to do so in the NFL.

Since getting picked sixth overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, Herbert has earned 19,660 all-purpose yards and 133 total touchdowns for the Chargers.
