The Oregon Ducks are more than just a dominant college athletic program, they are a national brand. From WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu, who has one of the most popular shoes in all of basketball, to Bo Nix and Justin Herbert, who are starting quarterbacks in the NFL, Oregon has blossomed into a nationally recognized brand.
Over the weekend, multiple NBA stars rocked the yellow and green of the Ducks as they took the court. Most notably, Kevin Durant and Devin Booker wore Oregon shoes as they visited the Portland Trailblazers with the Phoenix Suns.
Both athletes, who have their own shoes with Nike, wore the Oregon colorways of those shoes during warmups and the game against Portland.
Booker, who released his Oregon shoes just before the game, pulled up in the green colorway that features yellow accents and the vintage "UO" logo on the heel.
Sure, stars like Ionescu, Payton Pritchard, and more former Oregon Ducks will wear the green and yellow but to have players like Durant, who played college basketball for the Texas Longhorns, and Booker, who played for the Kentucky Wildcats, wear Oregon gear is notable.
Even the King himself has worn a Ducks design of his shoes. Just over a month ago, LeBron James pulled up to his game for the Los Angeles Lakers in his "Oregon" LeBron 22 PEs.
While not everyone wears the Sabrina 1s and 2s in Oregon colors, many NBA stars are repping the former Ducks' shoe on game day as they have been dubbed as some of the most comfortable basketball shoes of all time.
So, yes, Oregon could probably be nicknamed Nike University but it doesn't help that stars from various colleges and at every level are repping the Ducks. To put it simply, Oregon is dominating sports – both collegiate and professional.
