Evan Stewart sends reassuring message about recovery and return

A day after reports of an injury, Oregon wide receiver Evan Stewart took to social media to address fans directly.

With a green heart symbol and praying hands, he wrote, "Thank you for all the well wishes, Iโ€™m on the road to recovery. Donโ€™t put a timeline on me. Following Gods Plan! Thank you for the prayers!

7 be back soon!"

Multiple reports suggested the senior wide receiver and 5-star prospect might be lost for the season, but Stewart himself suggests he's pursuing his rehab and recovery aggressively, a much more effective response to a setback than feeling destroyed and defeated.

First June official visit weekend raises energy for Oregon football recruiting

Four-star linebacker Tristan Phillips, 6-5 wide receiver Calvin Russell, 10.4 sprinter, wide receiver and cornerback Brandon Arrington, Philadelphia safety Joey O'Brien, 6-5 safety Jett Washington, and 5-star edge rusher Richard Wesley are all visiting Oregon this weekend, and initial reports are that those visits are going well.

They all made it into town as scheduled, connected with the coaching staff and toured the Oregon facilities, which never fail to make an impression.

While there's a lot of uncertainty about the House Settlement and how it will effect college sports, Oregon has had a vision for excellence and a track record of success that's extended over 30 years. There's every reason to think they'll adapt to the new rules and structure with planning, organization and initiative.

The smart money always wins.
