Oregon Ducks are a frontrunner for Na'eem Offord's Signing Day decision
By Sam Fariss
The Ducks are garnering more and more attention on a daily basis as Oregon football is not just the No. 1 team in the nation, but it is also the only undefeated team remaining. Head coach Dan Lanning has built up a powerhouse program in just a few years and it's expected to only get better from here.
Oregon's 2025 recruiting class is a top-ten group of prospects and as National Signing Day rapidly approaches, Lanning continues to bring in blue-chip talent from across the country.
Most recently, five-star-plus cornerback prospect Na'eem Offord shared that he would decide between the Oregon Ducks, Auburn Tigers, and Ohio State Buckeyes –– the 2025 athlete is currently committed to the Buckeyes.
Following Oregon's victory over the Buckeyes in October, the Ducks have looked particularly unstoppable (despite a few stumbles against the Wisconsin Badgers in Week 12). Because of the Ducks' dominance and Lanning's ingenuity throughout the season, more and more prospects are turning their sights to Oregon.
Long-time Oregon commit Dakorien Moore officially closed his recruitment just a week ago and star defensive line prospect Jahkeem Stewart is looking more and more likely to become a future Duck.
Obviously, any team that is gathering wins in the same manner that the Ducks are will receive more attention. Star players want to play at star programs, it's just that simple.
However, if Lanning and the rest of the Oregon football staff can land Offord, flipping him from the Buckeyes, the Ducks may just reign supreme in the Big Ten... if not the nation as a whole.
