Oregon is entering a new territory of collegiate baseball during the 2025 season. Before the first pitch, the Ducks are the only Big Ten in the preseason top 25.

Last season, the Oregon baseball team shocked the nation as it stormed past Santa Barbara to punch its ticket to the Texas A&M Super Regional during the 2024 postseason. This year, the Ducks earned some preseason recognition before ever throwing a pitch.

After their fantastic postseason run and maintaining a majority of their usual lineup, the Ducks earned a spot in the top 15 of Perfect Game USA's preseason poll.

In fact, Oregon is the only Big Ten program in the latest top 25. While the conference might not be known for its baseball strength, the Ducks have earned their standing in the national standing all on their own.

Last season, Oregon finished its season 40-20 overall with wins over dominant programs like the Oklahoma Sooners, USC Trojans, and Oregon State Beavers.

Leading the Ducks' charge during the 2025 season are returning stars Maddox Molony, Drew Smith, Jacob Walsh, Anson Aroz, and more. During the postseason, both Walsh and Aroz led the Ducks through their deep drive, alongside former Oregon baseball and football star Bryce Boettcher.

Head coach Mark Wasikowski is heading into his sixth season with the Ducks. Over the last five seasons, Waskikoski led the Ducks to a 164-90 overall record, including the 2020 season which was canceled due to COVID-19. In 2021 and 2022, Wasikowski led the Ducks to the Regional Round, and in 2023 and 2024, he led Oregon to Super Regional appearances.

Oregon is set to kick off its season on Feb. 14 against the Toledo Rockets in a three-game home series at PK Park in Eugene.
