Oregon football recruiting: Elite linebacker cuts list to four after UO trip

Owings Mills, Maryland linebacker Nick Abrams visited Oregon on April 19-20. He's a four-star linebacker rated No. 240 in the 2026 class, the No. 20 linebacker.

Tuesday Abrams cut his list to four and announced official visits to his finalists, Georgia, Michigan, Alabama and Oregon. He's a former teammate of Duck cornerback Brandon Finney at the McDonogh School, another DMV (D.C.-Maryland-Virginia) product.

The Ducks have his final visit on June 20. He's told the recruiting sites, "The scheme for a linebacker is a dream," referring to the Mint defense designed by Dan Lanning and Tosh Lupoi.

He's a sideline-to-sideline linebacker who sifts through plays and squares up on people, a guy with green dot potential in the middle.

Baseball completes 4-game sweep of the Beavs

Ryan Cooney and Jacob Walsh hit home runs as No. 6 Oregon doubled up on No. 7 Oregon State at Goss Stadium in Corvallis Tuesday night, 8-4.

After Ryan Featherston pitched out of a bases-loaded jam in the third and allowed a single run in the fourth, Jaxon Jordan, Sam Boyle, Cole Stokes, Santiago Garcia, and Seth Mattox came out of the bullpen behind him to pitch five innings of scoreless relief, allowing just one hit.

The Ducks are off until Friday when they travel to Michigan State. They're 31-12 this season, tied for third place in the Big Ten with USC at 14-7.

Radley, Romero honored by the Big Ten

After winning the conference tournament with a stirring comeback on April 20, Oregon women's golf coach Derek Radley has been named Big Ten Coach of the Year in Women's golf, and team ace Kiara Romero won honors as Golfer of the Year.

Romero won medalist honors at the Big Ten Tournament. She's recently been picked to compete for the U.S. at the Arnold Palmer Cup for the second year. in a row.
